Ticket Types

Darb Alwatan will offer the below three different types of tickets to its passengers:

  • Flexible Tickets or Fares: this type of tickets will allow passengers to refund and \ or change the ticket within a prescribed period.

Ticket Change: Subject to availability, Passengers can change their trip time, date and Origin / destination  on the condition that any change requests are received  no later than 2 hours before the booked trip departure time; Passenger requiring a change to the ticket will be charged 10% of the ticket fare plus the price difference of the new trip (if any).

Ticket Refund: Passengers can request a ticket refund  up until   2 hours before departure (either on line or at a station office or agent office). Passenger requiring a refund will be charged a fee equal to 50% of the ticket price.  A reduced cancellation fee of 10% will apply in the event that passenger elects for the refund to be paid in the form of a credit against a future ticket purchase.

  • Standard Tickets or Fares: this type of discounted ticket, if offered, allows passengers to change the ticket within a predefined period, but they cannot request a ticket refund

Ticket Change: Subject to availability, Passengers can change their trip time, date and Origin / destination at any time up until 24  hours before trip departure; Passenger who is willing to change the ticket will be charged a fee equal to 25% of the ticket fare plus the price difference of the new trip (if any and if higher).

  • Promotional or Special Tickets or Fares: This type of promotional ticket is  (if offered) is not refundable or changeable.  It offers a cheaper fare than other tickets but comes with stricter terms and conditions. DAW will offer this type of tickets from time to time.

*Reduced refund fee of 10% may be charged for passengers accepting refund in the form of a credit against future ticket purchase instead of in wire transfer or refund of credit card or debit card cash amount.

Student ID might be checked at the station. In case of false condition or failure to verify eligibility on demand, full price will be charged plus a penalty fare. Penalty fare fees will be posted on the website from time to time.

Includes a passenger of 60 years and older

DISABLED PERSON

Includes a passenger who has a condition that limits one or more major life activities

Same fare may apply to ONE escort. In case of false condition or failure to verify eligibility on demand, passenger is subject to penalty fare provisions as above.

PERSON WITH CANCER OR HUMAN ORGAN TRANSPLANT

A passenger who is receiving medical treatment due to cancer or donated an organ to another person

Change & Refund Policy:

 

Change Policy:
  • Changing a Ticket is subject to purchased ticket type:
    • Flexible ticket, shall be changed no later than 2 hours before the trip departure time.
    • Standard ticket, shall be changed no later than 24hours before trip departure time.
    • Promotional / Special ticket types are not changeable or refundable.
  • Changing a ticket is subject to additional charges based on purchased ticket type:
    • Flexible ticket, 10 % change charge will be applied on the original (old) ticket price
    • Standard ticket 25 % change charge will be applied on the original (old) ticket price
  • Any price difference for the new booking will be charged.
  • If new ticket is cheaper than the old ticket, the difference is not subject to any refund provision.

 

Refund Policy:

  • Refunding a Ticket is subject purchased ticket type:
    • Flexible ticket can be refunded (2) hours prior to departure, a 50 % Refund charge will be applied to the original (old) ticket price
    • Standard Purchased ticket, shall not be refunded.
    • Promotional / Special ticket, shall not be refunded.
    • A reduced refund fee (10%) of the original ticket price may be charged for passengers accepting a refund against future ticket purchases instead of in cash or a refund of MADA/Credit card . The credit will be valid for one year.
    • Acceptable form to reduce refund fees:
      • (E-Wallet) credit (for online purchases)
      • Credit Voucher (for future purchases of a ticket)

Refund Process:

  • Refund is subject to ticket type, payment method, and sales channel
  • A refund request is submitted online or at the station/agent’s office specifying refund request type as credit or refund and communication method (email / SMS).
  • Once a refund request is submitted, the ticket will be canceled immediately
  • The customer will be notified about the request status trough communication method specified above.
Online Purchased Tickets

The Customer will have the option to:

  • Immediate Adding of credit to the E-Wallet to use it later (for future purchases with a validity of a max ONE year) after deducting 10 % of the ticket price as a refund charge. OR
  • A money refund, which is subject to 50 % charges and credit, shall be automatically applied to the original method of payment automatically.
Tickets Purchased through Stations \ Agents

Customers will have the option to

  • Receiving  a Credit Voucher with a QR code to use later (for future purchases with a validity of a max ONE year) after deducting 10 % of the ticket price as a refund charge.
  • A money refund is subject to 50 % charges and will be issued within 2 weeks of the refund request date. Redeeming the refund amount will be through one of the following methods:
  • If tickets are purchased in cash, refunds will be through wire transfer to customer bank account or issuing  a check (in the case of a check , customer must specify pickup location).
  • For tickets bought via MADA/Credit Cards, the amount will be credited automatically to the original method of payment.
